I guess I keep thinking of them as my little babies & then wham they'll do or say something & I realize they are turning into little people. I know Sky can remember movies & songs after seeing or hearing them once. Even though she can't say all the words she matches her tone with whoever is singing or talking. I've heard a lot of other parents talk about their children doing the same thing. I just never thought of her remembering a place or building, guess I was wrong. When she comes home from school, on her transport, she often says " Hello Darling " and it sounds just like I say to her. She remembers everyones birthdates, funerals, etc. We all ask if we forget any of those things. Of course, if you ask her where she left her shoes five minutes ago, she couldn't tell you most of the time. I know a man on the spectrum that knows where every rail line is in the U.S. and if you drive him somewhere once, he knows exactly how to get there the next time. It is truly amazing. Michele D.
