Guest guest
Dear all, do not lose your time to reply. Lantra said (4 members, of which 3 medical specialists), it's Ok. I've understood what they meant : to one another = to each other . Guest guest
Hi, What I belive the person wants to say is that they compared endothelial cels to control group, then SMC to control group, then others to control group, the next step would be to compare endothelial cells to SMC, and others, then compare SMC to others, so that you end up with a 2 x 2 table for each comparison. Therefore I tend to belive that the scientist was always refering to comparison between two elements, which is also an easier way of analysing statistic information. I hope you can understand my explanation, Best regards, Klemm São o - SP -----Mensagem Original----- De: " cgtradmed " Para: " medical translation " <medical_translationegroups>; " LANTRA " Enviada em: segunda-feira, 25 de setembro de 2000 16:12 Assunto: TERM: EN>EN/FR Comparable to ONE ANOTHER > > Hi All dears, > Please, would you help an old tired mind to confirm (or not) that > " comparable to one another " = comparable to each other, i.e. between both of > us, and not to a third element?? > Context (for the non specialists, please do not let you impress by this > context :-)) : > > " Significant increases in THM expression were observed ...in endothelial > cells, SMC and " other " (cells) relative to control groups that were > comparable to ONE ANOTHER ( P>0,005 for all comparisons) " > > MMTIA.
