Guest guest
I have been looking into the "HCG diet" recently. I am intrigued by it because, as many of you know, we use HCG for infertility and hormonal related issues- to bring up estrogen, but more importantly for some folks to bring up their progesterone. I had never thought or known about it being used for assistance in a weight loss program. I have been personally thinking of trying it, but I was wondering if the HCG would interfere with hormonal issues. I take prometrium daily, and have not cycled at all for almost 2 years (post menopausal hormone levels since 5/2008). My youngest is 5, and I was on 200mg IM q 72/hrs during my pregnancy with him, as well as PP, to ward off PP depression.(yes, we followed my levels. they were low!) I had 3mo of PPD with my 7 yr old, and prior to that 1 month of PPD after an SAB where my progesterone level was .4 What kind of affect (if any?) would taking HCG have, especially if I am already estrogen dominent ? (ie yellow stickers forever, then this extra weight I put on). Here is a site with related info. Some of it is interesting, though as always, I take some things with a grain of salt. http://hcgdietjourney.com/hcg-diet-guideline/kevin-trudeau-the-weight-loss-cure/Thanks for any input you can provide
