Guest guest
Hi , Welcome to the group!! I have a almost 14 year old in Middle School who is doing OK. Guest guest
Hi Welcome to the list. My youngest daughter, Skylar age 11, was diagnosed autistic at 3. We live in a small town in Ontario, Canada. I was born and raised here and am not fond of the cold. I cannot imagine coming from Arizona to northern BC. A definate temperature shock for you I am sure. This is a wonderful group of individuals. A great place to vent, get information and ideas. Its good to have you with us. Tracey Hi! I've been reading the e-mail digests off and on for awhile and figured it's about time I introduced myself. My daughter is seven, diagnosed with autism at around 5yrs old. I guess I would consider her to be high functioning, but that is my opinion - not one from a dr. This year we moved from Phoenix,AZ to Northern BC, Canada - up near bottom of Alaska. Aside from the fact that it really, really cold - it's been a great move for le's education. She's gone from last year sponge painting over the same letters again and again. To doing basic addition with pictures, spelling and reading site words. Right now she has a great aide who really takes a personal interest in my daughter and her success. Her speech is delayed, she can get her point across usually - the syntax is out of order (for English). She enjoys being around her classmates and cousins, but will ignore them for her imaginary friends. She takes a mix of enzymes and we try to avoid gluten and casein (usually at dinner time) she also take zinc, tmg, multi vit and efalex daily. Most importantly she is a caring, loving little girl - who likes to paint, sing, dance and is quite the movie goer. This group was suggested to me by an on-line friend and it looks like a great place to calm my concerns as she goes from being a little girl to a young lady. - Autism_in_Girls-subscribe ------------------------ Autism_in_Girls-unsubscribe
Guest guest
Hi , I'm trying to find help for my dd. age 9. She has digestive problems, mood swings, but is fairly high functioning. Taking polls here, what enzymes do you use? from Springfield, IL On Saturday, February 7, 2004, at 02:05 PM, eringariepy wrote: > I've been reading the e-mail digests off and on for awhile and > figured it's about time I introduced myself. Guest guest
We've been using Houston's enzymes with some remarkable results. Before we began, I was THE doubting and as skeptical as they come but now, I'm kicking myself for not trying them sooner. I spent a year and a half researching them and reading everything I could get my hands on. Had I just started right of the bat I'm sure we'd be even further along in our happiness. I highly recommend them to everyone! Good luck to you. Rhonda Olivia's mom
Guest guest
Tracey, The cold is different - for sure. I lived with my husband in Waterloo, Ont for a year while he finished his degree, then I convinced him to move back to my home town in the warm for about 8 yrs. We moved to this side to be near my sister and her kids, and for the school. Since you are here in Canada, I am wondering about the Vaccinations here. We are expecting another baby this June - and I'm not sure what I'm going to do. I read in Canadian Living sometime last year that there is no thimersol in the shots here, but that the rise in autism is the same. I'd be very interested in what you know about this or if you could point me in the right direction. Thanks, > Hi > Welcome to the list. Guest guest
We use Houston Nutraceuticals AFP Peptizyde, HN-Zyme and No-fenol and have lots of sucess with them. In a pinch I tried a local brand called UDO's and I found them to not be as effective for us. Started with just the AFP, after more reading added the other two and she just keeps developing. She went from being out of control, to being a great kid who has much more control over herself. Can't say enough about how they've helped us. After taking them for about a year, we can now introduce new foods for her, with complaint, but she'll eat them. She went through about 3 weeks of withdrawl when we started them. Those were hard weeks, but after that things got much better. >

Guest guest
---Many provinces stopped putting thermasol in the vaccines a long time ago, but some provinces, like Quebec, where I am, only stopped in '97, and apparently it was also in this years flu shot. I'm not sure when B.C stopped using it though. In Autism_in_Girls , " Duane & Tracey Pratt " <dtpratt@s...> wrote: > Hi > I am not sure about how the vaccination schecule works in BC. Unfortunately we did have thimersol in vaccines here in Canada, at least back when Sky had hers. To be honest I am not sure about them now. I do belive, and if I am wrong someone please correct me, that you can ask for a vaccine that does not have thimersol in it. I know that even now in our flu vaccines there are small amounts of thimersol. I don't understand why companies continue to put this in their vaccines. I think the best place for you to get more information would be the BC Ministry of Health. I am sure they could give you far more information than me. Hope this helps. > > Tracey > Hi! > > > > > > I've been reading the e-mail digests off and on for awhile and > > figured it's about time I introduced myself.
