Guest guest
Hi Sara, We are doing a Tomatis program now, and I know that Wendie from our group is also doing it. I have seen tremendous improvements in many areas, and I have heard many other success stories. Here is a comprehensive Tomatis web site where you can find out tons of info. about the program. http://www.tomatis.com/English/index.htm On Sunday, January 4, 2004, at 08:08 PM, sarakandel@... wrote: > Hi All, > > Has anyone ever tried the Tomasis Method. Guest guest
Hi Sara, like mentioned my daughter Sky is going through the Tomatis program. Sky will be turning 3 at the end of the month & we started this past May. She will do her 5th loop in March. She has come a very long way this year since starting Tomatis. The areas where we have seen the biggest changes are her speech & sensory issues. She was only saying a few words when we started & her sensory issues were so up & down it made life very difficult for her & us. Her sensory issues are almost gone now & her speech has greatly improved. She is now communicating more with us although her speech is still limited she's made a lot of progress. This is just our experience & every type of therapy produces different results with different people. I know the center where we go works with adults as well so it may be something you want to look into for your daughter. The link gave you is the best place to start & has a lot of good info. If you have any other questions I would be more than happy to talk to you. Wendie > Hi All, > > Has anyone ever tried the Tomasis Method. Guest guest
We did Berard's version, not Tomatis, and yes, we think it helped. You might also investigate the new SMILE therapy that is multi- sensory. It's like AIT on a table that provides tactile, proprioceptive and vestibular input while shining different color lights onto the client's eyes (its' REALLY multi-sensory). > > Hi All, > > > > Has anyone ever tried the Tomasis Method.
