Guest guest
well from your tests we see 2 things 1- You have PA ( ARR ratio ) I hope you are already on spiro and dashing (dashing is the keyword ) 2-You have an elevated cardiac risk. Other things that seem to be abnormalish are the GFR for instance it's high but that's cause of the PA I think, considering that your potassium was taken correctly it is ok > > Hey guys im new and i have pretty bad symptoms...i was told you guys could advise me on my results. Guest guest
ive been told that if you take T3 only meds that your TSH will always be too low??? i seem to be having horrid issues with controlling my pulse blood pressure and hence my medication..... im so sorry you had to go through all that i think i may try to lower my meds and increase really slowly until my heart adjusts??? the only problem is that going lower than 20mcg gives me more hypo symptoms..like swelling weight gain insomnia lethargy etc.... and going higher makes my pulse rocket what can i do? my GP said i was going hyper and lowered my meds but as ive said above that also had side effects..... so im stuck between a rock and a very hard place .... > > > > Hey guys im new and i have pretty bad symptoms...i was told you guys could advise me on my results. Guest guest
oh sheesh im so sorry. i really dont know much about all this but thank you so much for explaining thats really nice of you Well i live in the Mediterranean and my diet is already high in salt...and i am eating even more salt than normal because my blood pressure is on the low side too. the only thing i have not done is drink the salt with some water twice a day....do you think this may help?? even after eating more salt my sodium levels have not increased at all only my potassium has gone down slightly....i will post tonight spiro....right ive never heard of this...and you guys take this to lower your blood pressure??? i find that lowering my thyroid medication lowers my blood pressure even further 85/54 but increasing the meds increases my blood pressure slightly to maximum of 109/69 if im lucky the problem is my pulse goes mad at 0ver 100 bpm...so i dont know what to do...do any of you here suffer with hashimotos disease or hypothyroidism?? my Endocrinologist and GP said my sodium aldosterone rennin and potassium where fine...(ill never get help at this rate) ive been like this for ages....ive actually had problem since i was 14 ...but i always thought it may be issues with sugar never even heard of sodium problems My dad got very sick the day before yesterday and i had to take him to hospital twice after 12 hours of hearing him scream in pain...hi blood pressure went up and he went red and sweaty i was so scarred because he had a major heart attack in the past and also has diabetes high cholesterol angina etc..... they inserted a catheter because he could not pass urine poor man they took out a whole litre.... when all was over after being so stressed and being up for many hours with him i finally collapsed in my bed....yesterday was horrible...i felt like a truck had run over me...i had to keep gasping for air i was so tired...my eyes where blurry i could not think or talk...i could barely eat my muscles felt like lead and they hurt i felt so weird....this morning i couldnt wake up...still feel like i need air i feel dizzy and so exhausted...i felt more exhausted than yesterday....even though ive slept 2 full nights ... do you think this could be due to lowish sodium?? I was scared i might pass out and i dont even know why! > > > > > > > > Hey guys im new and i have pretty bad symptoms...i was told you guys > > could advise me on my results. Guest guest
hi i dont know what pheo is?? unless its a type of tumor or something?? and no ive not been tested for it..how do you test this?? ive never has K tested is that vitamin K? my blood pressure normally drops when i stand...but not always..only when i feel worse (which is alot of times)....and my pulse increases drastically....(most of the time my blood pressure wont take the readings when i stand because i cannot stand still..i can no longer keep my balance or keep still on one spot...i always have to keep moving or i feel really sick...is this normal??? I get up to pee at night when i feel worse as well....the worst is getting up to pee every single hour of the night which makes me feel really bad by morning.....though i must say as i increased my thyorid medication i wasnt peeing as much...(but my GP has lowered it again so im wondering if ill start the night time urination again) i pee everytime i drink anything at all. and they i feel really thirsty....GP said to drink 3 litres of water a day to increase my blood pressure and lower my heart rate! I cant seem to increase my blood pressure no matter what i do > > > > > > > > Hey guys im new and i have pretty bad symptoms...i was told you guys could advise me on my results. Guest guest
Dr Grim. not to worry about kickbacks and me causing the insurance rates to go so high. My husband lost his job which gives me no healt insurance other than tricare. My the time any amount is left that tricare covers, it comes out cheaper for me in the long run to be a self paying customer for these tests. We have found he longer I go on the same meds without having my tsh 3 and 4 tested along with a few others like cortisol, the worse my health becomes Sorry I am not the what you consider the typical patient. > > > > > > > > Hey guys im new and i have pretty bad symptoms...i was told you guys could advise me on my results. Guest guest
hi thanks so much for all the info :)i am now on T3 only medication since i was so sick on the t4 only (spent over 2 years with no improvement infact i felt sicker and sicker so i gave up on it) I have hasimotos too but my labs are always all over the place...sometimes i get High TSH then really low...but the FT3 and FT4 levels are always within range...sometimes even low in range which is strange..why would the TSH be changing so much??? I can never tell if im hyper or hypo i just always feel unwell...and when i do feel a little better it never lasts :(i was on 50mcg of t3 medication on my last visit to the GP these where my results:Estimated Glomerular Filtration Rate: 136.6 (50-70) still highPotassium: 4.3 (3.5-5)Sodium: 138 (136-145) i had been taking more salt with food but my sodium has not increased at allGlucose: 5.73 (4.1-5.9)GGT: 13 (7-32)ALT: 44 (10-37) this is new lolCholesterol: 4.62 (2.9-4.7)Iron: 19.40 (8.8-27) taking ironTIBIC: 37.2 (27.8-53.7)Ferritin: 63.2 (10-120)Iron Saturation: 34.3% (20-50)Vitamin B12: 405.00 (133-675) taking B12Folate: 14.17 (8.07-45.3) taking FolateCortisol: 354.9 (185-624) this has decreased by half since starting T3 medication!!! which is good since i though i may have cushings...TSH 0.008 (0.4-4.2) This is just confusing me and my GP/EndoFT4: 2.80 (7.86-14.41)FT3: 4.20 (3.8-6)Blood pressure and heart rate readings around the time of this blood test whilst on 50 mcg of T3 meds:104/68 84 bpm (17:41)103/66 93 bpm (15:42)104/67 111 bpm (14:29)96/76 126 bpm (13:46)97/64 93 bpm (11:00)94/64 106 bpm (10:00)99/74 117 bpm (11:33)94/79 112 bpm (10:00)my GP said i was going hyper on the medication and lowered it to 10mcg on T3 !!! well you can imagine i feel like the walking dead again here are my new reading whilst on 20 mcg of T3 only ( i couldnt take any less because i started to swell and my my hands burning not to mention the insomnia and nightmares etc)Blood pressure and heart rate whilst on 20mcg of T3 only:92/56 70 bpm 94/56 59 bpm (11:20)94/60 77 bpm (05:47)89/58 66 bpm (00:57)97/64 92 bpm (11:12)98/60 78 bpm (08:19)97/57 52 bpm (20:51)95/62 84 bpm (12:58)94/56 59 bpm (11:20)my heart beat felt a lot better when decreasing the meds i must say i never realised i had such a constant pounding in my chest and neck until it stopped...but my other hypo symptoms are back .....i cant winIf i lower meds i go very hypo..if i increase meds my heart rate goes mad and that also gives me symptoms...what can i do??? i tried calling my GP 2 days now he wont call back.....i tried getting an appointment but i have to be there at 7:30am so i can get one before he is fully booked and as im so tired well i cant physically wake up or move at that time :(any advice on why my heart rate would increase so much?? what am i doing wrong?? is it my sodium levels???am i going from hypo to hyper as the GP said?? because my T3 and T4 are not over the range infact my T3 is low normal....why on earth would he say in hyper?? please advise im so confused sometimes it scared me that i feel so sick...today was hellI walked to work like i was walking through thick mist...i could feel my legs moving so slowly i felt so so slow it was so embarrassing ...i couldnt even speak properly today because even my talking was slow i couldnt concentrate and my eyes where blurry. Guest guest
Most labs in US give Estimated Glomerular Filtration Rate grater then 60 with no high end. So not sure if it can be to high or what a high rate would mean. > > >> > > > > >> > > Hey guys im new and i have pretty bad symptoms...i was told you > guys > > >> could advise me on my results. Guest guest
How are they checking Cortisol? Best way is 24 hour urine. If checking blood or spit can change a lot with time of day. > > >> > > > > >> > > Hey guys im new and i have pretty bad symptoms...i was told you > guys > > >> could advise me on my results. Guest guest
As Dr Grim says not an easy thing to figure out. What you need as to find someone like Dr Grim that looks at all that is going on with you not just one body system. If you had the funds and your Dr would work with Dr Grim this would be a good way to go. > > > > > > > > >> > > > > > > > > > > >> > > Hey guys im new and i have pretty bad symptoms...i was told you guys > > > > > > > > >> could advise me on my results. Guest guest
Max, I'm sure the number is something over 89 as the old measurement for CKD Stage 2 was eGFR = 60-89 (I don't recall ever seeing a high number.) Check out the address in msg. 35771 for the National Kidney Disease's explaination. - 64 yo morb. ob. male - 12mm X 13mm rt. a.adnoma with previous rt. flank & testicle pain. I have decided against an adrenalectomy at this time since Meds. are working so well. Current BP(last week ave): 122/73 Other Issues/Opportunities: OSA w Bi-Pap settings 13/19, DM2. and PTSD. Meds: Duloxetine hcl 80 MG, Mirtazapine 15 MG, Metoprolol Tartrate 200 MG, 81mg asprin, Metformin 2000MG and Spironolactone 50 MG. > > > > hi thanks so much for all the info >
