Guest guest
Simply considering this question logically, it would be quite obvious that sperm may be present in pre-ejaculatory fluid. After all, they show up frequently in the urine specimens of men who have had sexual intercourse at some point in the recent past; why would they not also come out with the pre-ejaculatory fluid when they remain in the urinary tract? RE: . Preejaculatory fluid I was searching for this information a few years back, and was never able tofind evidence of it. The only study I did find was that there is NOT viablesperm in pre-ejaculatory fluid. So I too am very interested in thisinformation...Sheila St. Executive DirectorCalifornia Association of Natural Family Planningwww.canfp.org1-877-33-CANFP-----Original Message-----From: nfpprofessionals [mailto:nfpprofessionals ] On Behalf Of JNJTM75@...Sent: Sunday, March 27, 2011 4:33 AMTo: nfpprofessionals Subject: . Guest guest
Well, logically, one is prior, and one is residual....so residual does not logically mean it would be there prior as well, does it? I am not saying it is not present, I am saying I have been unable to find anything documenting it, and to me, logic does not alone support it, for the above named reason. If we are going to state one can conceive from sperm present in pre-ejaculatory fluid, seems we need to be able to back that up with the evidence.... Guest guest
In my own files, I kept the below, which is all I could come up with. The first is a link to a study---it is not all highlighted, so copy and paste the entire line. The second is something Dr. posted once, on another study: 1) http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?db=pubmed & cmd=Retrieve & dopt=AbstractPlus & list_uids=12286905 & query_hl=1 & itool=pubmed_docsum 2) Zukerman Z, Weiss DB, Orvieto R., " Does preejaculatory penile secretion originating from Cowper's gland contain sperm? " J Assist Reprod Genet.2003 Apr:20(4):157-9. Â The research was done by the Dept. of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Rabin Medical Center, Petah Tikva, Israel. Their conclusion was: " Preejaculatory fluid secreted at the tip of the urethra from Cowper's gland during sexual sti8mulation did not contain sperm and therefore cannot be responsible for pregnancies during coitus interruptus.
