Jordana, I just wanted to say that I agree with your comment. In this

country, people are often made to feel like they are wrong, immoral,

or bad if they are not Christian, or if they struggle with their faith

or have no faith at all. My son's OCD has caused him to have much

anxiety in the past about getting to heaven/not going to hell, and

unfortunately he is currently attending a Christian school that

teaches that only Christians are going to heaven. This not only

creates anxiety for him (OCD doubts like what if I don't really

believe in Jesus)about himself, but has also created anxiety about

what will happen to the most wonderful teacher he ever had, who is

Jewish, and to his friends and their families who are Jewish and

Muslim. I have explained that his school is teaching what they

believe, but that there are many other religions and beliefs. I told

him hell must be a very big place if it has to fit the 70% of the

world who are not Christian!

I'm sorry, Peggy, it was just the exclamation points in your message

that made it seem like you were shocked that there could be a child

who didn't believe in Jesus. And isn't Pentecostal considered a

Christian religion?

BJ, is treasurer for the student gov't (not voted on by

students but by members who join student gov't) and then treasurer also

of the Science Club. He gets to go on a 3 or 4 day trip end of October

for student gov't officers. Has to wear suit & tie!
