Guest guest
- We'll I don't know how much help I can be as I in the same boat. We almost had her trained but total regression and back in pull ups. Yes, it's tough to keep those diapers coming. They are expensive too! Pretty soon I'll have to mail order them as we don't have too much longer in the store sizes. My daughter too will sit. She won't ask to go she'll go in her pants then take them off. When I see her butt bare then I know there are wet pants somewhere. Sometimes she'll put them in the hamper diaper and all which is where we taught her to put her wet stuff, so I guess I can't complain. We recently got the video " It's Potty Time " . This video comes highly recomended. We got it on Amazon.com used for $5. She seems to love the video and it's done tastefully. It shows both boys and girls using the potty and there is some cute Potty songs to get the kids motivated. It's worth a shot. No improvements yet with the video but we just got it last week. Good luck and let us know how things go. -- In Autism_in_Girls , " Faye " <daisybaby@s...> wrote: > Hi there.. > > > > My Name is Faye, I have a Daughter Hailey diagnosed with Autism at the age > of 2 and she will be 5 in March. > > She absolutely refuses to go on the potty, she will sit on it, ask for it, > and even go up on her own and put the potty seat onto > > The toilet but will not do her business in the potty at all. > > Instead she will come down and go on the floor, she has been messing on the > floor for a few years but only recently began sitting on > > The potty and asking for it by saying " potty " > > She does play with her feces and I find it rather gross but not a lot I can > do about that I guess. > > Today at the dinner table while eating dinner she had pooped on the chair > she was sitting in and got up and immediately went to grab > > A wipe to clean it up. > > Now, I always make her clean up her own duty, but I Just can't take > diapering a big child any longer, are there any words of wisdom or > > Advice any of you can offer me to help her go on the potty and get out of > diapers ? > > I am desperate to potty train her. :-( > > > > > >

Guest guest
My daughter will be 5 in June. I guess it's always been MY goal to have her trained by then. It doesn't look like that's going to happen. Next month all teachers/therapist and daycare people are going to have a " Potty " meeting. Were all going to try to come up with a standard and all do the same thing the same way. I'll let you know how it goes. > > Hi there.. > > > > > > > > My Name is Faye, I have a Daughter Hailey diagnosed with Autism at > the age > > of 2 and she will be 5 in March. > > > > She absolutely refuses to go on the potty, she will sit on it, ask > for it, > > and even go up on her own and put the potty seat onto > > > > The toilet but will not do her business in the potty at all. > > > > Instead she will come down and go on the floor, she has been > messing on the > > floor for a few years but only recently began sitting on > > > > The potty and asking for it by saying " potty " > > > > She does play with her feces and I find it rather gross but not a > lot I can > > do about that I guess. > > > > Today at the dinner table while eating dinner she had pooped on the > chair > > she was sitting in and got up and immediately went to grab > > > > A wipe to clean it up. > > > > Now, I always make her clean up her own duty, but I Just can't take > > diapering a big child any longer, are there any words of wisdom or > > > > Advice any of you can offer me to help her go on the potty and get > out of > > diapers ? > > > > I am desperate to potty train her. :-( > > > > > > > > > > > >
Guest guest
My daughter did really well with the " it's potty time " video. ~ > > Hi there..
