Guest guest Posted September 1, 2010 Report Share Posted September 1, 2010 To the extent that there is a concern that the first 2-3 cycles while breastfeeding may have a less sufficient luteal phase, which theoretically could raise the risk of unrecognized early pregnancy loss and/or miscarriage, the couple who is charting while the woman is breastfeeding can be given the option to abstain during the fertile days for the first 2-3 cycles.
