Hello,

Yes I get melatonin for my daughter on the NHS prescription. It is NOT the

circadin which I found to be very odd.

We get 2mg capsules in a pot of 60 made by Craig Ltd.

Our GP writes a prescription for it and the pharmacy call it a special order for

some reason. It doesn't have anything else except filler I think and is very

effective.

Yasmeen.

Thanks Yasmeen and Nina, I have Bio-melatonin here from Pharma Nord, it has Baking agent: Microcrystaline cellulose, Maltodextrin, silicon dioxide and Hypromellose.

3mg to take one to three tablets at night. Not sure about it really, sleeps well enough once he is off but does get second winds of an evening, thought it might be a good idea for other reasons, maybe relax him a bit?

Darla, that's interesting - we also find that giving it earlier than

recommended (1 hr plus) is what works. I am really impressed with your

tip to give it at the same time every night. I don't know why I wouldn't

have thought of this myself. It makes so much sense. I will do it from

now on, thanks, Sara x
