I don't think she needs support. I've been the recipient of this sort of

attitude myself.

Well the old saying is wait till you walk a mile in my shoes. As

Ellen Degenerous (spelling) said " my mom started running at 62 she

is now 92 and we don't know where she is " . Here there are a mixture

of newly diagnosed and those of us old veterans to address the needs

of our community. I have found that over the many many years with

this disease before these groups were readily available that the

only option of educating yourself was the spattering of hard to find

information available. Yes you can read and research but you will

not have the interaction and communication that she will find here.

You evidently know this. But we all move at different paces to cope

with this disease at different levels of severity. So maybe you have

to educate her as to the available options and encourage her with

support for her choice so she will see the light that this forum

offeres her. At her chosen speed but with a directed and diplomatic

coaxing it will happen. Logic is the best medicine. The faster she

address her emotional side with relation to this disease the better

it may be for her. Experience is a learning tool.

I'm or were're here to yell at whenever you need encouragement in

your quest for the best for her.

I cannot ask her to contact you because the woman in question is Mr.

Parenteau's wife. He already asked her to join this group and ask questions

and he quoted her, " I read, I know what hep c is. " To me that is not

frustration. That is obstinance. Perhaps she might be more amenable to a

little one-on-one with you but somehow, I doubt it.

Well said Fred, I agree completely.

Thank you for putting into words what I felt.
