I COMPLETELY agree! Have you ever been to a certain low carb forum? (insert very

popular doctor's diet name) I spent days crying about what a failure I was on

the diet. I didn't lose a single pound the entire time I was listening to their

advice. Then, I stopped posting and starting simply listening to my OWN body and

I've been steadily losing ever since!

All my weight loss support (except from IOWL) has thus far come from

groups filled with calorie counting " OMG I ate cake now I'll die "

doing three hours on the StairMaster a day people. (Not everybody in

the groups is like that, some of them are actually sane, but the

majority of them are yo-yo dieters :/ )

I'm tired of it. I'm tired of getting messages about how I'm not

doing something right, or that I should be doing something else, or

that I'm crazy/ stupid for wanting to discuss a topic or strategy that

*gasp* is not conventional.

I need someone who thinks naturally slender in my life. Any takers?

If you've got IM feel free to add me, or email me, just let me know

who you are. :)

Right on Ora! I turned 40 in August and without much thought I could just

" tell " that I was DONE with the kind of thinking that you describe. In the

past few years I have done a few different programs that were full of hyper

achievers. One was concerned that she wasn't counting the calories she was

consuming FROM HER VITAMINS she was taking. That's right you heard me. Not

only can I no longer think like that (come to think of it I was never that

good at the whole discipline thing), but I don't even want to be around

those types of people AT ALL. So count me in!
