Guest guest
I normally do not respond to these post, I usually sit back and just read them. But I have to say that 's pod cast have really helped me, and I just wrote my first 5 star review, lets all support . KEECHIA L. BOYD Subject: Must ask for your help To: insideoutweightloss Date: Tuesday, February 10, 2009, 8:07 PM Hi Wonderful Group, I have a special request to make. I would rather not ask, but I really do need your help. A few nasty reviews have been posted to iTunes that haven nothing to do with IOWL, and everything to do with the TV show I was on. I am completely open to reviews that convey an honest opinion about IOWL, but not open to ones that are not about the podcasts. As you know, I offer IOWL for free as part of my mission to end the weight struggle and enable others to develop and share their soul's gifts. I worry that these reviews will put people off who would be helped by it. Could you please flag these reviews as irrelevant, rate them as unhelpful, and if you are so inclined and haven't done so already, enter your own 5 star review. That would be a wonderful thing for those that have not yet found this free resource, and for me. Here's what to do: 1. Go on to iTunes, put " Inside Out Weight Loss " into the search to pull up the show page. 2. Scroll down to the reviews 3. Click on " See all 186 reviews " 4. Click on " Report a concern " 5. Guest guest
Ditto, I wrote a 5 star review, marked the negative reviews as not helpful, the positive reviews as helpful and " reported a concern. " You cannot change reviews that others have posted, but readers can flag them within iTunes. has given me more than one silly show can take away and it would be a shame if others didn't give it a try because of WS. Guest guest
A couple people mixed in enough podcast concerns to make it difficult to mark them as irrelevant but the others I did. I also left my first five star review. It's fair on iTunes to not like a podcast and say that, but if it's only about the TV show it's not relevant and should be removed. It's all sassy fabulous: <http://blog.liedel.org/> Blog.liedel.org
Guest guest
I " reported a concern " on all the 1 star reviews that referred to Wife Swap and marked them as not helpful. On my " concerns " , I wrote, " This review is off topic and is, instead, a review of the recent TV show, Wife Swap, in which s' husband said some hurtful things about uneducated Americans. This show in no way reflects the content of this podcast. My guess is that people who watched the TV show are taking their frustrations out about Wife Swap by writing negative reviews of the Inside out Weight Loss podcasts without listening to them. " I hope this helps. I find it very frustrating (and sad) that people will see these reviews and not listen to the podcasts and miss out on the best info about weight loss that I've ever found. That reminds me, I had a dream last night that I was w/some friends who I hadn't seen in a while and they mentioned that they wanted to lose weight and I recommended Inside Out Weight Loss. I think word of mouth (positive) will win out over the negative comments. I know that I will recommend it to anyone who is looking to lose weight. Guest guest
Just thought I would Share my post: 's podcasts are amazing. Anyone that has been struggling with their weight would be amazed at the things she points out. I have had more than a dozen " Ah Ha! " moments listening to these recordings. The reviews here that say anything different are from individuals that have never even bothered to listen to the podcasts and are basing their opinions on white trash television (the Wife Swap episode discussed). Honestly, do you really think that 42 minutes of " Reality TV " based on 2 weeks x 24 hours a day (1,440 minutes) = 20,160 minutes and cut and pasted by people looking for ratings is real? The real shame here is that people actually watch that junk! So can you guys tell what I think of " reality tv " LOL
Guest guest
Jenna, Do you have iTunes installed on your computer? If so, when you open iTunes, click on " iTunes Store " on the left side of the screen. Then, after it loads the store, look to the right of your screen and type " Inside Out Weight Loss " into the search box. This will take you to a link to the podcast. Click on the Inside Out Weight Loss icon under podcasts and it will take you to the podcast with the Customer Reviews. Guest guest
First off, next time you're in the grocery store or drug store or Target or WalMart, go get an iTunes card. You can get them for $15, $25, $50 or more. THEN, you follow the directions on the card, redeem the card at the iTunes store. You can actually avoid putting any bank info on that way. I only pay with iTunes cards. I bypass the banking info requests and it works just fine. Besides, I'm sure you can find some good music or stuff to buy in iTunes... Guest guest
Jenna, If you don't have an Apple Account, you can still download any podcast on iTunes. Just click on the " Subscribe " tab or the " get episode " tab. You can also click on the link to " Was this review helpful? Yes or No. " However, if you want to write a review or " Report a concern " about a review, you do need an Apple ID/Account. And on the Apple site, it does say that you need to " provide a valid payment method " to open an iTunes store account. Here's a link on how to set up an iTunes store account: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2731 Bev
Guest guest
, Your husband's actions speak for themselves. I regret that you have allowed his negativity to affect your career. I am sure that you have had many opportunities to learn from this experience. Why did this happen? What did you do to invite this into your life? The pain and shame that you feel is the kind that you must lean into, to acknowledge it, and to acknowledge the present. Live in this moment-- what can you learn? What can WE learn? I hope you can meet the audience's animosity with equanimity, as the situation deserves. The good news is that YOUR actions and words speak for you. Your podcasts ring true and have sensible and inspirational moments that have made my life easier to live. So, I have no problem giving you good reviews, and finding these other reviews to be irrelevant to the content and intent of your recordings. I have found a way to be proud of my doctorate by using it in service of fellow humans (regardless of their circumstances). I hate to see higher education vilified as a defensive posture by people reacting to [a mask of] cruelty. Certificates and degrees are as worthless as the paper they are printed on unless they can change the world for the better. COV

Guest guest
--- , I am happy to do so. I just submitted my 5 - star review. It saddens me deeply that so many people are willing to trash the very best weight loss tool that I've ever come across because of an over- edited and manipulated prime-time television show. I myself am an overweight midwesterner, and in my opinion, the way these people are responding ALMOST makes me agree with your husband! Yes, he was rude and behaved poorly. Who doesn't have a husband that does at times?!!? Those who are trashing you because of this are ignorant and uninformed and those who call it " new age crap " just aren't able to open their minds. I LOVE your show. My progress is slow, but hey - it's PROGRESS! I've not had that in 32 years. I think your are a shining light in this world and an absolute life-line for people like me. I will be loving your podcast indefinitely. Thank you so much for your gift and your mission. I only hope and pray that you don't let all of this negative attention affect that mission and please remember that so many of us out here love what you are doing. I think you are just wonderful and I personally loved watching you on the show. It was so nice to put a face and body and personality to your wonderful voice. You are the real deal. Thanks again, so much.
Guest guest
Toni..... Not to belabor this point as it has already gone on too long, but I feel that I must respond to what you've said below. There is NO excuse for the way Fowler behaved. His actions on the show were not something that just " popped up " . This is obviously someone who has deep seeded feelings of superiority and a manic need to control a situation to his advantage. He has passed this attitude to his children because they see him in this light every day of their lives. I can only assume that Rene's naive motivation behind agreeing to do a show like this was to try to get the word out and better her business. I find it sad that in one evening her husband has destroyed much of what she has worked for. In all honesty though, I was not very pleased with the way Rene came across either. I cannot reconcile myself with her comments about not being a " proud American " It appears that she feels " stuck with " the fact that she was born in America and is just " dealing with it " the best that she can. In my opinion if this country is not to your liking, you are more than welcome to leave it! I've been delaying a comment about this situation until I was able to truly evaluate my feelings. I feel betrayed and somewhat let down, but shouldn't be surprised by the actions of people with such liberal agendas. Light and love to all of you, and I wish you all the greatest success in your on-going journey. KJ > > --- > " Yes, he was rude > and behaved poorly. Guest guest
You have every right to feel the way you do about the show, and . But I hope that you will not define solely on this show. has explained that this comment about not being proud to be an American already. Just because she said that she's not proud to be an American, doesn't mean that she's not patriotic or doesn't love the United States. Personally, I love this country, but I am not proud to be an American just because I was born here either. I'm not proud that we go into other countries and kill civilians, but that doesn't make me unpatriotic. That just means that I don't condone violence under most circumstances. I'm not proud that racism exists in the United States, or that some people discriminate against overweight/obese people (and it's socially acceptable). But, there are many things that I'm proud of about America. I'm proud of the fact that I can vote and speak my opinion without being murdered or sent to prison. I'm proud that we have rules in this country and most of the time, we act civilized. There's no place in the world that I'd rather live. Guest guest
OK-I do have to amend some of my previous statements-I should have re-read Rene's Blog post again before making some of my previous comments! We all know how the media can edit to present what will generate the most viewers, and this show was no exception. , however, stands out on his own-I think they had more than enough material to show what kind of person he is! Again, Light and Love! kj > > Toni..... > > Not to belabor this point as it has already gone on too long, but I > feel that I must respond to what you've said below. Guest guest
I am one of the people that lobbied VEHEMENTLY that people should be heard about their concerns about the show -- as long as they kept the comments respectful. I was disturbed by the show as well and felt there was a right for us to feel an emotional tie to our journey here. I still stand behind that. I also have taken all of 's comments to heart and have managed, after a few weeks, to re-start listening to the blogs without hearing s voice in my head. So I don't disagree with your concerns. But I have to say that your comment about how you " shouldn't be surprised by the actions of people with such liberal agendas " is as insulting to ME as 's comments must have been to the woman on the show. This is particularly hurtful because, when I choose to be involved in politics, I expect the world " liberal " to be spit out of the mouths of more concervative thinkers in a sneering, deragatory manner. Where I DON'T expect it to happen is on a thread where I come for emotional support on a weight loss journey. I hope you'll see how that comment may have been hurtful. Guest guest
Yahoo, no pun intended! It is great to see the real reviews emerge to the top again! I have been listening for only two and a half weeks, but am already REALLY impressed by the changes in my thought process about food- and I am finally losing weight after feeling 'stuck " and " hopeless " for years. This is such a great resource and so fantastic that it is free. Thank you for walking on this weight loss journey with me! And just realizing this is a journey seems to make it easier too- before I thought if it as white-knuckled will power and that was hard to maintain. So glad I found this group and this resource! > > Hurray!!! I've just check it and they did remove a bunch of negative comments that referred to Wife Swap.
