Guest guest
Diane had to laugh as maybe never to share it here but am much a shoe person. Not so much the shoes for me although like to have them and much sandals things and tennis shoes always have to be solid white or maybe one other color but most often just white. No heels for me not even thick soled shoes hate them. I to have odd shaped feet so have to try on many different shoes and variety of sizes to see which one fits the way I to like of them . But that said my real fixation is need to check others shoes upon greeting them. Instead of to even ever look at the person my eyes much go straight to the shoes of the person. Shoes tell me much about the person sometimes before to even know of them. I to be to also be to have strong like of mens dress and casual shoes and often will be drawn to obsess on the shoes of them. In groups often feel panic if much are wearing black shoes and then one or two are wearing a white or brown or different color my brain wants to scream for breaking the pattern. I to also have strong need to want to take shoes from people and to try them on and smell them or to simply put them on my hands to visually stim on them, but while this impulse is there to do this for most part have control over my impulse and can script to self over and over , " it is rude to touch others shoes " so have to mentally find another outlet or escape to prevent from acting on my impulses. These impulses plague me daily and consume much energy each day to not act on them. It was really hard for me a few months back when my therapist had a pair of black mens shoes that had a metal buckle thing on its side of the shoe. I to loved them shoes so much and the impulses were getting harder and harder to control and was unsure if could maintain self and not reach out to grab hims shoes . Now I to know he would be of patient to me in that and would be to have understood if I to reacted on it but my want to do right and not be rude was strong so it was the force that prevented me from acting on my desire to take hims shoes. I to simply wanted to put them on and walk around in them. Not have any knowing why I to love of shoes like this but is just my odd ways of being. Guest guest
wow! Diane... i'm glad you can relate to what i said! :-) !!!!!!!!!! Sondra? are you HFA? How old are you? I always say that I really wish I could be inside of my daughters head so I can know what she's thinking! Maybe there's more to it than not wanting to get the shoes dirty. I am sure there's a lot more to more things that I don't understand what she is thinking. I wish I could look through her little eyes and see into her head so I could know.
