Guest guest Posted January 11, 2009 Report Share Posted January 11, 2009 Don't worry about your son's problems with Adderall as you look into medication for OCD. The classes of medication are completely different. My youngest daughter was put on Adderall and regular old Ritalin for narcolepsy and she was awful! She has had no problems with her OCD meds though. She has taken Paxil (which stopped working after about seven months) and has been on Luvox for eight years. It will get better. My other kid has no trouble with her Adderall. She also takes it for narcolepsy and I worried that it would make her OCD worse but it hasn't. Thank goodness!
