Guest guest
We recently cleaned up. We had a dumpster and put broken things in it. When the dumpster was being taken away, my kids cried. They got over it, but I want them to learn that it's ok to let things go (expecially junk). I'm worried about the hoarding. I pointed out that we don't have room for new things if we keep everything including broken things. They at least " allow " me to donate their old clothing. Toys aren't an option yet. ________________________________ To: Sent: Friday, January 9, 2009 12:56:55 PM Subject: Re: Possible Hoarding Suggestion: Photos Our son took photos too, of everything, even old shoes that didn't fit anymore, when they had to be parted with. That worked for years, until his computer got so full of photos that he decided to go back and look at them. He started deleting them because he couldn't even remember most of the stuff anymore, even when looking at a picture of it. lol Whatever works! He didn't do the blinking thing though. He also will not part with old toys. Still has some of his baby toys. Of a snowball, an icicle, a funny shaped potatoe chip, a clay sculpture that was biodegradable, Christmas cookies, etc...so that has actually helped us some, at least with stuff we really cannot keep around.. Of course it doesn't help with the tons of toys she won't part with... > > But now she is taking 'photos' with her blinking, which is becoming a more frequent problem altogether. She blinks to take pictures of stuff as she walks around the house. It started with the CD player in her room at night changing the song number display. Now she also adds a " whirring " sound to it, like a camera functioning. Interesting. Maybe the photo thing has backfired! :-) > > > > >
