Peggy,

With Chris' help, I found an online source for the Source Naturals

Inositol powder (not crystals - they don't dissolve as well).

My son has only been on it for 10 days, so I don't see any change yet,

and we're going slowly on titering up, so it may be awhile before we

know anything.

The taste is fine. It tastes a little sweet, like powdered sugar.

Because we're still on a low dose (stared with 1/8 tsp, now up to 1/4

tsp twice a day), he got tired of my bugging him to finish his

strawberry milk, so now I just dump the measuring spoon directly onto

his tongue and he swallows with no complaint.

I have some articles that talk about calculating dosages at home (I'm

at work right now) so I'll check and send you that info tonight.

, hope the inositol works for you. :o)

One thing I thought I'd give you a head's up on, in case you didn't

know. . . .It can cause diarrhea and gas. Our son experienced both on

it. Unfortunately, it didn't help with his OCD, so we went to meds.

Let us know how it goes. :o)

BJ,

Thanks for the heads up. had already warned me. That's why we're

titering up so slowly. On the first two days, my son had some mild

cramping, but no issues since.

It may also be hard to tell if it works because we may be out of cold

and flu season by the time we get up to the levels we plan and the

PANDAS may not show up again until next fall (and he's " normal " (i.e.

no ocd or rages) in a non-PANDAS period). But hopefully if it's

working, we'll notice an improvement in his overall anxiety levels.

At least we'll know we tried and maybe we'll be lucky. I'll keep you

posted.
