Guest guest
OK girls I hope your all better now. I made no demands of either of you. I said please and now was not a demand but a question. (It does cross the blood brain barrier,) Jax, yours and mine was a different subject and I thought we finished it. I guess not. amd nne, the above copy is what I meant in my letter to you. what I ask, again, is that you stop is the personal bashing. AND put downs and discounting of peoples opinion and experiences. In short talk about your own, give opinions if you must but please stop the PERSONAL attacks..... Guest guest
Hey fellow heppers..I have so missed out on most of this, but it seems that person " a " is telling person " b " that there is an alternative natural tx that works??? I dont know if this is right, but from what I have read, I agree that if there was in fact, some cure out there, besides the treacherous (sp?) tx that we hav to go thru now, we would all be online, inline, or wherever we would have to go to order it... I remember when Naomi Judd said she rolled in the dirt in Kentucky or wherever and got cured..well, dont think anyone made a journey there... just my idle thoughts this morning..be well.. Judi ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Not only did I not go making any journey... I was downright pissed off when she showed up all over the media, claiming her miracle cures and all that crap. I felt it was so cruel to those with it to give such false hope. Especially at that time, it was well know that it was impossible to be *cured* and that the most likely options were either she had a misdiagnosis in the first place or it had gone into it's inactive, remission-like state where sometimes the viral load levels are so low, they can't be detected so it looks like it's gone, when it's really just dormant. Overall, her whole " publicity stunt " using the Hepatitis C just annoyed the crud out of me... but that's just my opinion. M

Well we had *snow* twice but just flurries that didn't stick and burned off within a few hours. It's cold, wet and miserable... which means I am cold and miserable... I've usually got a pretty good sense about things like that too because years ago, before I got so sick, my husband and I used to work for science fiction conventions as security and assistants to the guest stars. That meant everything from sitti\g beside them while they sign autographs to keeping them from being harrassed to fetching their bottled water on demand. LOL We worked with a lot of actors, writers etc... everything from ones who are extremely famous household names to people that you wouldn't have a clue who they are unless we listed off who they played in what show.... but there was one amazing thing. The differences in their personalities and attitudes towards " regular " people is all over the scale, and not always in direct proportion to their level of fame either... some *big names* were just as nice and average a person as you would ever want to meet, and some *nobodies* could be egotistical asses. LOL And of course it also worked opposite as well... I think it really just has to do with what type of person that person REALLY is. Guest guest
Sorry folks but I am Jewish and we read from right to left (reading posts in date decending order). But to the point about Naomi Judd. I am very annoyed at the tact she took when she supposedly had HCV. Her supposed cure was well timed with being out of the singing game due to it. Her daughter getting bad press at the time and her supposed need to use HCV as a springboard for her own satisfaction. I won't intimate the possibility of a passion to regain both popularity (for both her and her daughter) but the old greed factor. Just my opinion. Guest guest
Fred Im in agreement with you on that, I dont think that naomi judd would be nor is a good spokesperson for hep. I cant sit in judegment on her motives but I just dont think she is out there enough telling the truth of this disease and how MOST of us with it are in our 40's and 50's,, right in the prime of our lives... just my 2 cents --- trimenow1234 wrote: > > Sorry folks but I am Jewish and we read from right > to left (reading > posts in date decending order). Guest guest
Hi Jackie, I have to think back (Thinking can be dangerous) to all those Stars that needed Liver Transplants. I always wondered how they got their Livers so fast. Was it money? Connections? We in the the low and middle layers have to suffice to bearing the brunt of waiting in line with in some cases a higher level of need for the organs. With some dying in the wait. But just a rant :-). Naomi Judd is a poor excuse for a spokesperson for HCV as she does not exemplify a model for the direction for prevention ot treatment. Prayers to you, Fred

Guest guest
of course it was money and connections Fred. Did you hear that when Larry Hagman's gift liver started to fail he has said he won't accept another transplant? Mickey Mantle bought his liver and then drank it away. Personally I think people are people. Yes celebrities do get pampered and can have a larger ego than most but they have to live with themselves just like we do...Naomi has tried in her own fallable way to educate just like you. We need a spokesperson but there are no heroes. Where's our White? Smiling is the latest thing in style, so cheer up and wear a big, broad smile. If you want to be happy, listen closely to me. Guest guest
Hi RIC, I was being sarcastic with the addition of my dry humor to highlight the major issue of those who are left hanging while waiting for Livers. While others get there helping hand through position and money. Just goes to show the lack of diversity and fairness that is supposed to be part of the the Transplant procedure. Like Pinchak used to say " What a country " . Fred
