Guest guest
Dear colleagues, I am translating a text on biologically active substances found in by-products of yeast manufacturing technology. What I need is the English equivalent of the Russian word BARDA (post-yeast BARDA). The only explanation available is that this is a waste product formed after separation of bakers yeast from the growth medium (containing molasses, etc.). Russian-English dictionaries offer various variants: distillery grains; (malt) residues; (brewery) mash; vinasse, slops, spent wash; None of them seems to be applicable to bakers yeast. Can anybody suggest an appropriate English term? Thank you S. Sosnovsky, M.D. Freelance Translator Medical and Biological: Eng<>RU<Fr asosnov@...
