In case you have missed seeing this publication we attach for your interest. We congratulate Sr Leonie McSweeney on her successful publication of her work in Nigeria in helping couples through the Billings Ovulation Method™ and in particular, for those couples who had a serious reason for trying to increase their chances of achieving a desired sex of the child. The attached article appeared in the African Journal of Reproductive Health in March 2011.

Below is an extract of a letter which Sr Leonie recently forwarded to Dr Lyn Billings:

Thank you again and again for that wonderful visit and yourself and made to Nigeria many years ago. One of the wonderful things you achieved was due to your steadfast determination to chat with the many men and women queuing up to speak to you. You said, "Leonie sit down with and I and tell us what you are doing about sex-preselection for what we are hearing from people sounds very hopeful". You then described how I should set up a programme as a blind prospective research and was very anxious for me to have results published. For years I tried in vain but about two weeks ago the African Journal of Reproductive Health sent me a message that they intend to publish it in the March issue of their journal. I will send you that journal when it is printed.

We congratulate Sr Leonie on her life work with the people of Nigeria. She has certainly “made a difference” and there would be many thousands of couples who are grateful that she accepted God’s call to work with His people in her adopted country.
