Guest guest
I think that OCD is very clever and likes to focus on things that cannot be changed. No matter what, we can't prevent death in the end and having that thought--that a person can die and do nothing to stop it--is a very frightening one. I think that many times people with OCD have control issues and isn't death the ultimate " lack of control " for some? My kids found no comfort in faith when they experienced their fears of death. I had hoped they would but they also have issues with religion. What I did tell them was that OCD likes to focus on things we have no control over and that yes, they would die one day but that day wasn't today. I never did come up with anything better to say but they both have moved on from the thoughts. Kelley in NV **************New year...new news. Be the first to know what is making headlines.
