Hello - I'm Diane and I am an almost 52 year old married woman with two sons.

It took many years to realize that I had been raised in a rather negative

household and there has always been a real struggle over food/weight issues in

my own head because of some of the things that went on when I was young.

Basically, I was encouraged to eat but ridiculed because of my weight - and

sometimes I am talking some mean words - things I can't believe they said to me.

I've gotten past the anger and hurt because I realize they did the best they

could but OH NO - I carry all those voices in my head. Heck they stopped - I

kept it up in my own head!

I have only listened to a few of the podcasts but will continue until I have

completed them all stopping to think in between and write in my journal about

what resonates with me - which is just about everything. I love this approach -

the things that appeal to me the most are - intentions (use them every day),

easy (just shifting my consciousness into thinking this can be easy is an

amazing uplift) and then the whole towards and away goals - I've written down my

away and will take some time to write down my towards very soon.

My success is this - every day this week I have sat in the parking lot before

I come into the building at work (I work in a school) - I say I intend to get

through the entire work day without eating any of the free sweets lying around.

Every day so far it has worked. This way of thinking allow you to take the

control for good - versus rebelling away from someone else saying - you can only

eat this - or you must do this or that. I set my intention and for me - that

works better. I love hearing of everyone's success - keep on posting!
