Since there has been a lot of interchange on Supplements and Herbal Supplements recently I thought many might find it interesing! Nondrug Interventions for Treatment of Hypertension by J. Bisognano MD, PhD At: http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/j.1751-7176.2011.00524.x/pdf Among other items, it talks to: -Lifestyle Modification -Dietary Supplements -Herbal/Alternative Approaches -Devices I had to recheck the who wrote it when I read the first few sentences: " Despite the abundance of pharmaceutical options for the treatment of hypertension, lifestyle modification remains an important approach in management. This is reflected by the inclusion of lifestyle and dietary modification in the approach recommended by the American Heart Association (AHA). The benefit of exercise, salt restriction, the Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension (DASH) diet, and weight reduction has been well established. (I'm going to start taking Garlic - If it doesn't do wonders for my BP, at least it may explain why my Love Life has gone to hell! ;>) - 64 yo morb. ob. male - 12mm X 13mm rt. a.adnoma with previous rt. flank & testicle pain. I have decided against an adrenalectomy at this time since Meds. are working so well. Current BP(last week ave): 122/73 Other Issues/Opportunities: OSA w Bi-Pap settings 13/19, DM2. and PTSD.
