That's precisely the approach my nephrologist took - he questioned, and more

importantly, LISTENED to me for a good hour or so, then diagnosed me in 10

minutes. Maybe less :)

After 4 other doctors, over a period of 9 years, failed to do either: listen, or

correctly diagnose.

I can't tell you how much time my Nephrologist took before my first appt., but

he pretty much DXed with his first statement after our intro! He was the 4th

Nepro that I saw in 5 months and I asked, " Why in hell am I seeing another

Kidney doctor? " HIS RESPONSE, " Because I am going to FIX your blood pressure

problem! " (I now suspect he had reviewed my file, saw a renin result of 0.1 in

2007 and read the comment that " Primary Aldosterone Possible " !)

He put me on Spiro and ordered test and as they say, " The rest makes a good

story! "

- 64 yo morb. ob. male - 12mm X 13mm rt. a.adnoma with previous rt. flank &

testicle pain. I have decided against an adrenalectomy at this time since

Meds. are working so well. Current BP(last week ave): 122/73

Other Issues/Opportunities: OSA w Bi-Pap settings 13/19, DM2. and PTSD.

Meds: Duloxetine hcl 80 MG, Mirtazapine 15 MG, Metoprolol Tartrate 200 MG,

81mg asprin, Metformin 2000MG and Spironolactone 50 MG.
