Guest guest
I remember reading in Deepak Chorpa's books that the body is replaced, every cell, in seven years. I asked a few friends in medicine and they confirmed. Thsi was tested with radioactive dyes. Every cell in your body is replaced every seven years. Some organs faster. That made me think. Every seven years I am overweight, I am recreating the fat! Woah! So how do you make the changes so your next you is different? Obviously, following 's advise is helpful. On Tibetan Monk, Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche, worded it this way: 10% improvement. When people usually try to make big changes, they try to change 90% of their life and it rarely works. Instead, improve 10% at a time. So take each week to improve 10% of your life. Maybe we replace sodas with water. Maybe we cut out desserts. Maybe we replace the afternoon starbucks with carrots and herbal tea. Maybe we replace 1/2 hour of TV with a walk. You didnt get this way overnight, so you arent going to change back overnight. And all of 's advise goes hand in hand with this. So think 10% and in seven years the new you will be exactly who you want to be.
