Guest guest
msmith, have you ever gone under the assumed name of Anne Dodge? As promised, I went out and bought this book by Dr. Jerome Groopman yesterday. The first chapter, actually a 26 page " introduction " deals with how a Dr. Falchuk DXed a young woman's., Anne, long term suffering with an eating disorder. When I saw " celiac disease " and " allergy to gluten " I thought of many here but the condition wasn't nearly as important as the process. I could readily superimpose my journey as I read and it became a personal history lesson! If the rest of the book is anything like the first 40 pages, it is a keeper! While at the book store I also found his latest book, written with Dr. Pamela Hartzband, " Your Medical Mind, How to Decide What is Right for You " and a third book; " Every Patient Tells a Story " by Dr. . Guess I have reading material for a day or two! I could have done it cheaper by buying online but decided to buy locally and charge it off to a donation for " Flood Recovery " ! (Besides, I get to start reading immediately!) I figure I will take " How Doctors Think " to every appointment and really psych them out! ;>) - 64 yo morb. ob. male - 12mm X 13mm rt. a.adnoma with previous rt. flank & testicle pain.
