My chiropractor saw a severe boy, non-verbal, and just hours after

his first adjustment, he began to speak words, labeling objects. (I

know the family, so I can vouch for the story.)

Today, he's kindergarten age, and mainstreamed without support a

good portion of the time.

For him, chiropractic was a big missing puzzle piece.

Alyssa's perpetual runny nose stopped running 36 hours after her

first adjustment. We didn't use benadryl for several weeks after

her first adjustment. Then alyssa stopped letting the doctor do

those neck adjustments, and we saw the runny nose return. And now

that she's allowing the doc to do the atlas and axis ajustments

again, the nose is STILL running. I don't know WHAT the deal is now!

Well that very encouraging news! If anyone is considering seeing a

Chiro like myself, make sure that they have Duiplomate status, which

is the extra 3 years in pediatrics. You can call the ICA and ask for

one in your area. 1-. I live in Quebec, and Chiro's are

a dime a dozen here, but there are only 3 with Diplomate staus in

the entire province! Luckily 1 of them is a half hour away, and we

saw her yesterday, and we go back next friday for the course of

treatment and her findings! What I figure is the only thing I have

to lose is more $$ !

They'll have you come pretty often at first, to see just how long

your daughter will hold an adjustment. As time passes, you don't

have to go as often. But at first, you could go two or three times

a week. Our chiropractor has a family plan and I pay one rate each

week for 4 of us to have unlimited adjustments. Sometimes I take

one kid a couple of times, or sometimes we've all gone every day.

Same price. It all evens out.

When we're sick, we go every day for an adjustment.

I started chiropractic on my 4yo daughter about 2 months ago. We go 3

times a week, and it only takes about 5 minutes.

They massage her gut, saying that it feels to them like the flap

between the large and small intestine is not closed. I don't know how

they can tell that, but I can say that since my DD has been seeing

the chiropractor, she is pooping much more regularly.

They do kenisiology, they do accupressure points, and they use this

little metal device that looks like a door stopper. When you squeeze

it, it clicks and thus puts a quick pressure on the point it touches

on the back or neck. I hope I described that well enough, it's easy

to picture in my mind, but I'm struggling with the words.

The plan is to treat her for a year, going 3 days a week at first,

then cutting back to 2, then finally one.

I should mention that my daughter wasn't diagnosed with autism, she

was diagnosed with hypotonia and dyspraxia. She also has a ton of

sensory issues.

The chiropractor claims that not only can he boost immune, but also

many folks report that their kids no longer get ear infections, and

that kids with focus issues get better (I don't think he's saying the

focus issues are gone altogether, it just helps a great deal).

So after 2 months, my main report is that she hasn't gotten sick (but

she takes a lot of vitamins and doesn't get sick often anyway), and

that she's been pooping regularly.

Hope this helps
