Guest guest
My son is transitioning from early intervention to preschool on Monday. At our PPT two days ago they refused to continue 's 15 hours of DTT based on the " Least Restrictive Environment " idea. I am totally outraged and have set another PPT for Jan. 11 with two team meetings prior to discuss his progress or lack thereof. My son is VERY impaired (classic autism), yet has learned so many things over the last 18 months like colors, shapes, letters, numbers, one-step directions, etc. We've retained an atty. for our Jan. meeting, but I am concerned about losing skills in the meantime. Any ideas about how much can be lost in 6 weeks w/o reinforcement? I will try to do some at home, but I have ANOTHER toddler with ASD as well, and therefore, trials are hard for me to accomplish.
