Guest guest
Hi Alley It's the scan first...but still waiting for my appointment and even my results back from Liverpool....takes an age...a person could go insane with all this waiting...LOL I've been having really bad headaches too in fact had a bad couple of days....keep thinking I have something else too and the hcv is just an also rand...so debilitated just lately...I can't understand if this disease is so slow and I have had it for years then why I have gone so downhill in the last month....even the easiest of things have become a big deal and I need my bed by about lunchtime!!...in a lot of pain in upper spine (age old problem) and back of neck & head..does anyone else get this or do you think this is something else? Can I take painkillers (paracetamol & codeine)? sorry to be a pain in the bum. Sue X > Susie, why not ask your doctor if he is substituting the scan for the biopsy? I see now that you are in the UK, so that means things are done a bit differently and you probably have little or no control over what happens (?). I am asking, I don't know. The biopsy is what you need. A liver scan is nice, but the biopsy is the best indicator of liver staging. > > Just my opinions of course. > > Alley > >
Guest guest
I know allllll about the waiting! I hate it. I'm sorry you feel so bad. If you're like me, you will have bad days and good days. They'll come and go. (maybe bad weeks or bad months) Take care of yourself best you can with rest, lots of water, good food (not processed, not fried, you know the routine , vitamins (no iron), de-stress, and like the surfers say hang 10. (and take your pain pills as needed and don't be ashamed to take them). It's something we have to ride t hrough. It's never easy. If you think it's something not just a " bad hep day " , then defintely see your doctor immediately. Don't ever let hep be an excuse not to see your doc. I know I've let hep mask other symptoms and then ended up with a kidney infection or bronititis that was like the illness from hades, things I had never had before! And never been that sick before, because I let it go too long, thinking I'd just rest and the hep would get better. ooops, no, shoulda gone to the doc. If you feel worse than " normal " , go to the doc. In the meantime, I am sending you big hugs from Texas where it's suddenly darn COLD! and I'm sending you are cold weather too. BTW, I'm making my annual hep Christmas cards. If you wish to receive one (in land mail) please send me a private email with your info.
