Guest guest
Hi Tiina, > (It is " This is a group for discussion on medical terminology & other > subjects of interest for translators specializing in medical texts. " ) I think it is direct and says everything! No need to do any change... IMHO... > At the moment, anyone can read the messages in the web. Anyone can also > find all the group member's email addresses. Is it ok? In my opinion, this is fine! > Last time I looked, there were 56 members on this list. But no one > seems to have any term questions or anything else... We are a small community and we can foresee a low email volume here. Would you like me to advertise this group at the Portuguese language list? If you think we better advertise our list in other translators list, I can help you with the Trad-Port list! Did you advertise this at Lantra? Have a nice weekend! LĂșcia ============================== Lucia M. But no one > seems to have any term questions or anything else... --------> I am sure the questions will come. We already had a lively debate on " binary restenosis " , right? These contributions were coming from medically oriented people I already know from other lists. And here is a question to the list: I am translating a highly specialized book on acupuncture from German to English (for medical doctors) and need a good reference book (no website, please) to find the *currently used* English names of acupoints. Any suggestion? All the books I have seen so far are more of a general nature. Thanks for any hints (there is a medical library in my neighborhood - once I know what to look for, I might get it from there). Guest guest
Hi Lucia, yes, it would be nice if you'd advertize the group at the Portuguese list. I sent a line about it to Lantra a week ago, and there's also a link to it from Aquarius. I just changed one setting: now only list members (all of you) can post. Others can post to medical_translation-owneregroups. Have a nice week, Tiina
