I suspect that your nurse is right, even though I haven't had the

antibiotic of which you speak. Tell the secretary to go jump through a

flying doughnut and do what you feel you need to do for you. Please get

better soon! Hugs, LaWanda :22 AM 3/24/2003 -0800, you wrote:

Dear April,

I do not know anything whatever about the medicine, but for sure you do

not have the personality of a whining individual. Why can't people be

more supportive of each other and less judgmental? Rita

the question you posed, rita, is something I've been wondering about all my

life. I just don't understand people much any more.

april, I think that you come first and that your life is more precious than

any job. I also think that others should not judge you. Even if another

person takes the same medicine it may not affect that person the same way as

it affects you. It is necessary for you to take care of yourself. Have a

hug to make you feel better.

Dear Friend April

No you are not winning. You have a serious injoury and it needs time to heal.

I have never been on this medicine that you speak of but it sounds like it is

taking away much of your energy to be a sucessful emploiee. I understand the

job is important but you need to think of yourself and what is best for

yourself. Perhaps you could ask your boss for a brief medical leave until you

start feeling better. Really your health is a lot more important then that job.

At least that is how I see it. Tell that secretary to go jump in a lake some

where you need to get better first. Take care.

Vancomysin

Hi all!

Have any of you ever been on Vancomysin by iv to rid yourself of infection?

This is my second round with it in three years and it is driving me nuts.

It seems to deplete my system and yet i have to go to work. My recent stay

in the hospital was for an infection found in my right leg, and it just

isn't healing fast enough. Today I had a temperature again. Yesterday I

was out in the cold selling stuff at our bake sale for where I work.

Sometimes I feel frustrated because my secretary doesn't understand how this

medicine makes me feel and she thinks I should be at work from 9:00 to 5:00

everyday. No, I know she isn't the boss, but she certainly makes her points

known. And I get frightened sometimes. Does anybody else ever feel like

that? It seems like the neuropathy in my feet gets more noticeable each

time I have to go on this antibiotic. LOL, I must be whining, but I'm just

curious if anybody else has ever had this and if I'm over-reacting. One of

my nursees said she couldn't believe I was going back to work so soon after

being put on the medicine. I don't know. What do you all think?

April, This medication is an extremely stron antiobiotic-you can ook it up

on the internet. Secretaries can make life miserabel for yu and if she

doesn't like what you do-and need to do for the sake of your health-complain

about her to the right person! She has no business telling you what you

should or shouldn't do do. Your leg healing is more important than any job.

I am retiring at the end of June although i had origiganally planned on

working for a couple more years because of the stress at work. It messes up

my diabetesand I decided that between my pension and SSDI, I can make

enough to live on without further endargining my health.
