Guest guest
I went to my neurologist. She feels I am on too many psychotropic medications and referred me to a psychiatrist. The psychiatrist agreed he is taking me off slowly of all my psychotropic drugs and then will start over. However he diagnosed me with PTSD (Vietnam War veteran), ADHD (was diagnosed with as a kid), Anxiety Disorder and obssessive personality. He will give me the least amount of drugs possible. Says he can probably fix everything with one drug. I am still on Aricept and will continue that as it has been a miracle drug for me. Neurologist worried about my passing out and falling down. Mainly since the last time i fell was down a flight of stairs. She referred me to a cardiologist who ran an echocardiogram and is having a tilt test done. Still waiting for results. I have a bad heart and they want to make sure it is not my heart causing the black-outs. The Neurologist is sending me for another MRI and EEG next week. I will let you know the results. Good news is I should know everything by the time all these tests are done. Bad news is I have no insurance. I have paid $2000 already and expect to pay another $3000 by the time these tests are done. The psychiatrist has my medical records from the VA and says they misdiagnosed me and mistreated me for last two years causing damage. The cardiologist says the VA had misdiagnosed me as well. My attorney says we are going to seek reimbursement from the VA or file a suit if they are uncooperative. Thats all of the news for now as this disease rages on.
