Guest guest
So a co-worker of mine has an orthopedic nightmare on her hands and has asked me to help. Her dog is appropriately named Lucky. Anyway he had a TPLO on his left stifle 12/22/05, then his right stifle done 2/14/06. The plate had to be removed from his right stifle due to some resction to it 7/26/06. Now he is externally rotating both stifles during gait and during that motion his right hip pops (look fine radiograhically). He is not fully weight bearing on his left hindlimb, the thigh girth measurement are the same but there is some apparent atrophy of the left thigh. He also has the beginings of some carpal hyperextension with internal rotation during his gait. I also felt some crepitus in his left hock. He is a 5 year old fit large bower cross. He seems happy but it is painful to hear him walk. I do not have access to UWT but do have e-stim, US, laser and my hands. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!
