>Hi Susie,

thanks for responding. I guess I don't have it set up so that I

could get posts sent to my email, cause I did't think anyone

reponded.

But, my god!! I could cry reading your post! Your husbands

cholesterol isn't even high & it sounds like his dr has ruined his

health! ( my own is 250, but with a good cholesterol of 88 I guess

it evens out. No Dr. has ever suggested that I need meds)

Your husband sounds so much like mine & yes, he has been saying his

eyesight is problematic. I've never read about statins damaging the

eyes though. Have we discovered another side effect?

My husband did stop the Lipitor cold though so I hope he's not a

heart attack waiting to happen. No one has ever warned him about

needing to wean off it.

I've just read about Vitamin C being good for just about everything,

but at very high doses. The idea is to start with 5000 mg daily &

if it causes bloating & gas you cut back gradually & find the best

level for yourself.

I've started him on Policosanol & fish oil & will have him start

taking the Vit C as soon as I can get some. I thought about

cinnamon & some of the other things people talk about, but am

wondering if you can overdo it.

I'm glad you mentioned the connection between low testosterone &

osteoporosis. I think my husband would rather wait it out than have

to talk to his Dr. about it. Maybe the thought of brittle bones

will get him going.

Thanks,

Judy
