Job opening at The Mariposa School

The Mariposa School has a new opening for a Behavior Analyst. The

successful candidate will be motivated by a strong desire to help children

with autism, and should meet the following requirements:

1. Has obtained a BCABA, BCBA or equivalent.

2. Has at least two years experience implementing verbal behavior

programs for children with autism based on the work of Dr. Carbone,

Dr. Mark Sundberg, and Dr. Jim Partington.

3. Has at least one year of experience as a Team Leader for a verbal

behavior program.

4. Is fluent with basic ABA principles and procedures.

5. Is fluent with the ABLLS.

6. Has the ability to conduct training sessions and demonstrate basic

teaching techniques to instructors and parents

7. Has the ability to conduct a Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA)

and create a behavior plan based on the results of the assessment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

.. Establishes programs for assigned students tailored to their

individual needs

.. Conducts bimonthly team meetings with parents and instructors for

assigned students

.. Follows students' progress and performs regular evaluations and

adjustments of the programs as necessary

.. Reviews behavioral data, performs Functional Analyses, develops

behavior lesson plans, evaluates effectiveness of procedures and makes

adjustments as necessary

.. Prepares for and conducts training modules for parents and

community

.. Evaluates current teaching procedures/strategies and develops new

strategies to improve the quality of programming.

.. Provides assistance implementing correct teaching techniques

.. Conducts quarterly appraisals of instructor performance

.. Consults with clients on and off campus
