Guest guest
He is 4.5. The school has no autism specific programming but has implemented independent work stations for pre-academic projects and has recently agreed to beginning inclusion and 1:1 teaching of social, play and verbal skills (no BCBA on staff). We agreed that they will base their programming on the ABLSS and to team meetings. Our first team meeting I saw data taken on his annual goals as met or not met with prompts. I expected to see data on ABLLS lessons and evidence of the incremental steps needed to reach those annual goals. They claim they only have to demonstrate progress... Is this true? What if their data doesn't make sense? I also thought they would share lessons with me. I am having a really hard time determining whether their program is appropriate and could use your guidance. No one around here is advocating for this type of programming. Most parents seem unaware. Thanks for any help. Teri
