Hello,

Y'know,this same address continues putting through this same ad.

Why are they not either banned, or blocked? And reported to

as well? They've been doing it for months, and

they only put through this ad, that's it.

I can assure you that I am taking action against this person and the respective

isp. I have had more than enough of this spam myself. And I am trying to be

curteous.

I have sent a copy of the original message to support@yahoogroups and I am

asking them to remove this offensive advertisement and the person responsible. I

have also informed yahoogroups that if this isn't done, that I will lodge a

formal complaint with the appropriate Australian authorities, and that I will be

asking them to make sure the complaint is put through the right channels to the

American authorities. This add has been doing the rounds of a few lists now. The

pacmate list got one too, though the persons name had changed. BUT it was the

same add with the same spam contents.

This spam does not belong on this group.

And this person does not deserve or warrant being a member of this group.

Y'know, replies like this bother me more than any spam. Why do we

let ourselves be so easily moved sometimes? It seems like too many

people can't handle some of the most simple frustrations in life. It's

rather sad, IMO.

Setup a filter on your own computer if it bothers you. Also, the

moderator of this group can all too easily go into the

settings and block mail from that e-mail address, and keep them

from joining if booted out, too. No need for FBI and all that jazz.

It can be oh so much simpler. But rather, every time, we merely

continue griping about it and now people are unsubbing because

of a mesage that comes through only about, what, once a week?

Oh well, see ya! Wish you would've stayed.

Hi Wayne,

I agree, it's simple. But it's also simple to block them if there was a

moderator who actually cared about the quality of the list. And that

seeming lack of caring is what I tend to think is ultimately making

people leave. Yes, it's one spammer, thus far, with the same spam

mesage. They can be blocked, if the moderator cared, or had the

sense to ask for help blocking them if they don[t know how yet.

But seeing it happen again & again is 3hat gets annoying. It just

shouldn't be happening, because it *is* so simple a thing to bypass.

But yes, deletion is a simple thing. ....But so is blocking it, y'know?

Who *IS* the moderator of this list, anyway? Just curious.

Diabetic is a decent list, a general list for all

diabetics, type 1 & type 2, not just for blind diabetics. But it is a good

list I've been on for awhile now.

Well here is hoping that eventually, we will get a competent and caring

person to work with the list. Certainly there are issues for us blind

folks who are trying to drop weight or manage diabetic conditions . I

rather not see this list go under. My computer skills are so limited I

could not handle it. I am still in dos and do not know windows. So when
