Safety Protocols with Laser

Hey there,

We are working with our vet association to develop some standards for

vet rehab clinics. Right now we are working on safety proofing our

modalities room. There seems to be some concern about scatter

radiation from Class B laser. We have been instructed to have any

windows into the room blacked out, sign on the door when laser is in

use; glasses (obviously ). Should clients also be wearing the

glasses if they are in the room? What about the patient? (If they were

to move during treatment?) I did not think that scatter was a problem

with this laser but I am wondering what other people's experience has

been. Any thoughts would be much appreciated!
