Guest guest
You know, , I think it really varies, but you're right in that many of the kids seem to really want to socialize. My daughter is in an autistic pre-school class with 5 kids including herself. She spends most of her time with another girl who likes to interact in a similar way (lots of physical stuff). There is another girl who spends most of her time humming to herself and eating, and does not speak or make eye contact, and there are two boys, one who is very vocal and " high-functioning " but has no social skills and doesn't like physical interaction at all (in fact when my daughter touches him he shoves her to the ground or punches her), and the other boy just rocks from side to side and occasionally screams but has no desire to interact whatsoever. There is just so much variation on the spectrum. > i was just reading some past posts, and it seems a lot of us have > daughters with similar social problems. That it is not that they do > not want to be social they just are not very good at it. In fact, > they desperetly want friends and to interact. But, with the few boys > I have met with autism I see the same thing in them too. > > > Autism_in_Girls-subscribe > ------------------------ > Autism_in_Girls-unsubscribe > >
