Guest guest
My child 95% of the time would much rather play with her barbie dolls and watch Tv, and gets very upset if you try to interrupt her schedule. All our kids are different, and if your child is trying to interact, that is wonderful. My daughter sometimes shows that she wants to interact, only to find, that she can;t understand what they are doing or saying.......so she just merrily goes off and does her " own thing " I find this more and more as she gets older, as her peers are talking about music and books and etc etc, and she just has no idea, as she doesn;t have those interests.........she is 9 but thinks as a 5 year old, and maybe this way all her life, though i am hoping and praying as she gets old, she will slowly mature, even if it is 6 years behind her real age. all the best, CherylS social interaction > All of the data i have read about autism says that autistic > individuals perfer social isolation.
