Guest guest
Anybody working with horses? My own horse tore his medial meniscus and medial collateral ligament (how ironic is that after all the extracaps that I do). Obviously, Securos doesn't make a crimp that large(he's 1150lbs.) Not a candidate for TPLO or TTA. I've started using ESWT on both the meniscal area and the medial coll. lig area. I intend to do 3 treatments of each and rest him for 3 months, since controlled exercise in the field is an oxymoron. My equine vet has given him a 20% chance of return to soundness. Any ideas? I'm contemplating using a laser(NOT a class 4) in between the shock wave sessions? Any takers?Meryl Lessinger, VMD. CVA,CCRT
