Guest guest
Thanks so much for your quick response! Duncan had a borderline positive Lyme Disease titer and I started him on Doxycycline last week. We do see Lyme in this area... usually with a fever and multiple joints but they don't always read the book. Before starting Doxy the owner thought he was a little better back on Rimadyl and applying ice to the area that she felt was warm. I recommended ice only after my last evaluation may have brought on the heat... back to some acute inflammation. I'll see how he does with the Doxy for now. Thanks again for your response. Re: Carpal injury I do not know what area of the country you are in, but I have seen many animals with these type of symptoms that will test positive for Lyme disease and respond quickly to Doxycycline. Just a thought. alan holter DVM Dodgeville, WI > > Thanks in advance for any help with this rather open ended question! > I just came back from my first intro course and am excited to approach > old problems with new ideas.
