Guest guest
Yesterday afternoon I took a blood glucose reading with my meter. It was at about five o'clock, four hours after lunch. The reading was 211, which is the highest I have ever gotten. Just for an experiment, I decided to repeat the test immediately with another strip just to see if I would get the same reading. This time it came out 97, a very good reading and well within the good range. So which do I believe? How can you account for the wide variance on testing just a couple of minutes apart? Do I just split the difference or say the heck with it? i tried a third time and got error messages. I know that if you don't have enough blood, you can get ridiculously low reading? Do you get false high readings if you put too much blood on the strip. My nurse says no, but I wonder. Just how accurate are these readings?
