Dr. Partington, Ph.D. based on his clinical research and findings as co-

author of the The Assessment of Basic Language and Learning Skills (ABLLS), and

Teaching Language to Children with Autism or Other Developmental Disabilities,

will present a conceptual analysis of designing and trouble-shooting Verbal

Behavior programs for intermediate and advanced level learners. This workshop

is designed to provide information to educators, administrators, parents, and

therapists who are familiar with the ABLLS and how to analyze problems that

develop in implementing verbal behavior programs for children on the Autism

Spectrum. Participants will learn trouble spots related to the development and

teaching of advanced mands, tacts and intraverbals and how to develop strategies

for addressing those problems. Discussions regarding the analysis of problems

in the acquisition of skills, evaluation of educational priorities and

determination of IEP objectives will be conducted.

Participants should be familiar with the ABLLS and have attended at least one

introductory workshop on the topic of Verbal Behavior.

Registration of a minimum of 50 participants is expected. A maximum of 70

participants will be allowed so register early to insure your seat.
