Guest guest
Dear Listmates: Sorry for the cross-post! Pamela Fortune Foundation Autism Clinic training for parents that want to run their own in-home programs and cannot afford a traditional in-home VB program! ------------------------------------------------------------------- I wanted to let you know of an upcoming seminar that our family's foundation, The Pamela Fortune Foundation, is putting on for families that cannot otherwise afford an in-home Verbal Behavior therapy program. This program is for families that want to start and run their own day to day VB program, with the assistance of our Clinic's Managing Therapist. Here is how it works….. The two-day seminar is November 19th and 20th, 2005 at Woodland Country Club in Carmel, Indiana. The cost is $40 per family (up to 3 family members). The presenter is Dr. Carl Sundberg and the program cost is being underwritten by the Foundation. There are some prequalifications, however, since the goal of this program is to reach those that are being overlooked by an expensive therapy like VB. In order to attend the seminar, you need to: 1. Certify to the Foundation (through the submission of tax documentation and phone conversations, if needed) that your income and family situation is such that funding a private, in-home VB program on your own is not possible, 2. Agree that at least one or more member(s) of your family will be conducting the in-home VB therapy program for your son or daughter, 3. Be located close enough to Carmel, Indiana that you are willing to drive to the Foundation's offices for your child's weekly status meeting with our Clinic Managing Therapist. 4. Understand and acknowledge that a VB program is only as good as the training, time and energy put into the therapy with your child. We will provide access to a high level of training and oversight in an ongoing basis. However, you must agree to keep your expectations manageable and in line with the time that you can spend conducting therapy each week. After the seminar, attending families will be able to enroll in the Clinic at a minimal monthly fee to offset the Clinic's costs. After the submission of your tax documentation, I will be happy to discuss this cost with you. Our Managing Therapist and I will meet with you at your home to further discuss the Clinic's program and you will initially have weekly status meetings at the Clinic to discuss therapy techniques and your child's progress. If you are interested in our Foundation's Clinic program, please contact our Managing Therapist, Gwen Cook at 317-818-0271 or gwen@.... Thank you for your interest.
