Partington, Ph.D., B.C.B.A. Cost: $185.00 – registration fee includes two publications: Teaching Language & The assessment of Basic Language and Learning Skills ABLLS, by Partington and Mark Sundberg Limit: 100 Participants Intended Audience: Teachers, Speech Pathologists, Specialists and Psychologists who work with students with autism and other severe disabilities who might profit from Verbal Behavior Training and the ABLLS assessment. Content: Day One- Teaching Language: This workshop is designed as an intensive and highly –interactive advanced seminar for professionals who work with children with autism and other related disorders. The training will include specific case reviews, video analysis, role-plays to practice implementation of procedures, and the theory and practice of designing and problem-solving educational programs based on an analysis of a child’s verbal behavior. Day Two- ABLLS: This workshop will provide essential information on scoring and interpreting the ABLLS and will include discussions, with examples that will show participants how to: perform skills analyses to determine a child’s strengths and deficits; measure and monitor learning achievements; and, utilize assessment results for evaluating priorities, determining IEP goals and developing curricula.
