Guest guest
Ronn: Thank you for the file! It is an AWESOME Isokinator training manual! BTW are you aware that it had had the print function blocked? I decrypted it and made a coy of the the PDF file that allows printing it out. May I have your permission to replace your file with the decrypted one? Thanks, TG > >> > >> TG, that sounds great! I have an Iso-K Pro, and would love to download and burn your DVD. Watching Muscledesign's vids on youtube has been helpful, because you're right ... some of the drawings in the manual make it hard to know if you're doing things correctly; all the more so because the manual is in German, and I don't speak German. What a great idea, making a compilation of the video clips! > >> > >> I do have a 49-page PDF manual for the Isoworker Pocket model (the less expensive plastic version the fellow in England was selling a few years back - I bought one of those too). It's in English, and most of the drawings show the Pocket model, but towards the end in the Advanced Exercises section, the drawings show the Isokinator being used. > >> > >> > >> I could upload it to the file section if anyone's interested. > >> > >> Ronn > >> > >> > >> >________________________________ > >> >From: <tgparker2008@> > >> >To: bullworkerclub > >> >Sent: Friday, October 7, 2011 6:23 AM > >> >Subject: Isokinator Youtube (NTSC) DVD ISO > >> > > >> > > >> > > >> >I converted Bert Muscledesign's Youtubes intp NTSC (US format) and compiled it into a DVD ISO. It works great on my TV. I'll put it up somewhere for download if anybody wants to download and burn it. What I need is a " quick and dirty " " home-brew " circuit training video of the seven basic Iso-K exercises. Call me simple, but some of those drawings in the Iso-K manual are hard to understand without a video. Guest guest
Thanks for uploading this manual! It offers many more choices of exercises than the current Isokinator training chart, and is a good source to find some alternative movements to experiment with! On the other hand, some of the exercises in this old manual are not very convenient to do, such as no. 6 for the legs (I find it hard to move both legs at the same time and keep the " power block " stable) or no.7 for the abs in the " Advanced Exercises " section (if only the upper body moves, then how can I hold a consistent " power block " ?. The squat with the isokinator between the knees, as shown on the new isokinator training chart under exercise no.5, is a much better option for training the thighs, and exercise no. 17, which is featured as exercise no. 7 on the new wall chart, offers a good combined training for abs and legs. (For your reference, here you can find pictures of the new training wallchart: http://store.koelbel.eu/sites/default/files/images/Isokinator-manual_men1.jpg and http://store.koelbel.eu/sites/default/files/images/Isokinator-manual_men2.jpg) No. 2 for " upper back, V-lats and shoulders " seems not very practical to me, since the shoulder is much weaker than its antagonist in this exercise, the opposite lat side. So a resistance which strains my right shoulder will be only a subliminal force on my left lat. But I find no. 12 and no.13 (Advanced Training) very effective shoulder exercises. Thanks again! Guest guest
You're very welcome, Jens. Thank you for your insightful comments on the various exercises. I agree with what you say. Regarding no. 6 for the legs in the old manual (Thighs front and back), I always found it awkward and difficult, trying to do it while sitting on a chair or stool, so I now do it lying on my back on the floor, with legs bent same as they would be if I were sitting in a chair. That makes it a lot easier and more enjoyable for me. Also, I use the Hand Straps for it, which keeps my feet closer together and seems to give me a greater range of motion (I guess because the feet have to move farther to achieve full extension/contraction with the shorter straps). It's now my favorite Iso-K leg exercise. The new wall chart you gave the links to is great! Nice to finally have it in English. Where did you find it? Looks like it was translated from German, but I'm not seeing it at their web site.RonnTo: bullworkerclub Sent: Saturday, October 8, 2011 9:51 AMSubject: Re: Isokinator Youtube (NTSC) DVD ISO Thanks for uploading this manual! Guest guest
Thanks Ronn, for your hint regarding exercise no.6; it seems a good idea to do it lying on the back and to use the hand straps instead of the foot straps! As for the current exercise chart, I just googled for images of the isokinator, and there it was. It comes from the page koelbel.de; click on the British flag on the upper right of that webpage, then you get the English version; then click on the picture of any isokinator model (Spaceman, Green Giant or Classic), scroll down and you see the tabs: Type, results, technique...click on " training " and scroll down... Best regards, Jens. > > You're very welcome, Jens. > > > Thank you for your insightful comments on the various exercises.
