Description:This 2 day workshop is designed to provide consultants, therapists

and parents (who take an active role in their child's language program) with

guided practice in teaching early to advance learners with autism in the natural

environment. The participants will spend most of their time viewing video taped

illustrations and practicing the methods of effective instruction demonstrated

during the Intro Workshop. Participants will recieve the opportunity to develop

NET programs of all learner levels and will receive precise feedback on their

teaching methods. The conference will cover, in detail, the following

objectives:

Using the ABLLS

How to teach using guided instruction

Lesson Plan Development

Teaching the early to advance manding repitiores

Manipulating motivating operations

Teaching non vocal early learners

Teaching vocal sounds to non vocal learners

Transitioning from sign to vocal verbal behavior

Data collection in the NET

Teaching receptive,tacting,intraverbal and motor im for early to advance

learners

Generalizing skills taught in intensive teaching to the natural environment

Teaching advanced learners to request information using WH questions

Teaching advanced learner to answer novel WH questions and recall past events

Teaching reciprocal conversation for the advance learner

Teaching childrenn of all learner levels to engage in independent play with

socially appropriate toys

About our presenters:Mrs. Kibbe co-founded Establishing Operations, Inc. in

2003. As Chief Operating Officer (COO), she has created and co-presents a series

of workshops designed to train professionals in how to teach Verbal Behavior as

well as providing supervision for the associates of EO Inc. Mrs. Kibbe is a

board certified associate behavior analyst and holds a Masters of Science degree

in Applied Behavior Analysis from Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne,

Florida. She has been working with children with autism and other developmental

and behavioral disorders for nine years. She has experience working as a

behavior analyst for both children with autism and typically developing children

with severe behavioral disorders and as a pre-school teacher for children with

autism. Mrs. Kibbe began studying and working privately applying the principals

of behavior analysis to teach Skinner's Analysis of Verbal Behavior under the

direct supervision of Dr. Carbone in 1998. In this capacity, she began

consulting for children with autism under Dr. Carbone's supervision for a period

of five years. Mrs. Kibbe is based out of Atlanta, GA and currently provides

in-home and center based consultation services for children with language

delays, as well as a series of training workshops for professionals and parents

all over the US, Canada, Bermuda, Ireland, England and Wales.

Mrs. Twigg co-founded Establishing Operations, Inc. As Chief Executive Officer

(CEO), she has created and co-presented a series of workshops on verbal behavior

for four years and supervises the consultation services of the associates of EO

Inc. Mrs. Twigg holds a Master of Science degree in Applied Behavior Analysis

from Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne, FL and is a board certified

behavior analyst (BCBA). She currently has nine years of experience working with

children with autism and behavior disorders. She has experience as a teacher,

behavior specialist and in home therapist for children with autism. Mrs. Twigg

began her consulting career in 1999 under the supervision of Dr.

Carbone. Since this time she has consulted to dozens of families with children

with autism across the US, Canada as well as in the UK. Mrs. Twigg is currently

based in ville, FL and is providing in-home and center based consultation

services and training workshops for children and professionals throughout the US

as well as in Canada, England, Ireland, Bermuda and Wales.

Establishing Operations, Inc. is a behavioral consulting company dedicated to

providing quality services to children and adolescents with autism and other

developmental disorders. We believe in effective treatment utilizing the

principles of applied behavior analysis. Our goal is to apply these principles

in such a way as to increase spontaneous language, social interactions and

ultimately reciprocal conversations between the children we serve and other

children and adults.
