Guest guest
Hey , welcome to the list! This is LaWanda, from the blind list, and it is so good to see you here. There are some really knowledgeable people on here, and they are always happy to share their knowledge with others. Everyone seems very supportive and concerned about other list members, and I think you will like it here. Guest guest
Hi , I would say I'm type 2 diabetic, although my specialist says it's too early to be certain, because of the fact I fall between the 2 typical age ranges. Being 30 now, I don't typically fall into type 1 which is normally found in children. and type 2 is normally found in people over 40. However, I'm told they're now finding cases of both types in unusual aged people. Though if I was to reveal my weight, you'd think like me, that it's type 2. My specialist, says at this stage, it could still be the beginnings of type 1. although he thinks at best in any eventuallity, I might get a good ten years without insulin, but after that, it's all downhill. *smile* and as Colin said earlier, I'm in the UK, actually in Cardiff South Wales. although English by birth. without E-mail kevin.inbed@... Guest guest
, I was diagnosed at the age of 35 and am a type II. I had to start taking insulin about ten and a half years after I was diagnosed, and have been taking it now for 8 years. So far I'm okay, I don't have kidney problems or anything, and I don't get infections easily. If I would lose some weight, I am sure my doctors would be happier, and maybe I would be too, but so far I haven't been able to do much about it. Guest guest
Hi : Good to see you here. It is always fun to welcome new members. My name is and I am from North Western British Columbia Canada. I became diabetic when I was about thirty years old. I am a type one diabetic and have to take insulin twice a day. Well I'll go for now.Oh I forgot to tell you that I have a wonderful seeing eye dog named Wishy, and my husband and I are also owned by a really neat and mischevious kitty Moka. Well that's it for sure I guess. Love and hugs, wishy and Moka kitty. " Fairy tales do not tell children that dragons exist. Children already know that dragons exist. Guest guest
Hi Lawanda, I didn't mean that I thought it would be the end of the world, I just used what has turned out to be an unfortunate turn of frase. All I meant is, that once I have to go to insulin, their's no turning back. I'm told until that point, if I could lose weight, then their is a chance the diabetes could go away until much later in life. I doubt that is going to happen, because I seem unable to lose weight. However, I'll keep trying. Regards without E-mail kevin.inbed@... MSN kevinbed@... call Mobile 07796690766 New member, > > > > > > > > > Hi All, > > > > > > I thought it polite to introduce myself. Guest guest
, Keep on trying to loose weight. The one and only way to loose is to eat considerably less of everything. If you are not on insulin, you are not type 1. Type 1 people always need insulin. S. Wales, eh? My great grandfather was from Wales. I never knew him, of course, bu my maiden name waaas Wildman, which I am told was Welsh. Guest guest
, I know, that type 1 always have to use insulin, But I'm repeating what my specialist said, about possibly being in the early stages of type 1. I repeat though, it is highly unlikely. Your theory about eating considerably less, doesn't necesarily work. Sorry to disalusion you. Sometimes you can have the type of metabolism, where your body will hang on to anything, because it doesn't know what else is coming. The theory is that over time you will retrain your body to know when and where it will be getting more, but for me so far, that hasn't worked. I do have several other health problems, that may contribute to this. Regards , Tonight I need you More than yesterday Tonight I need you Take me, touch me, hold me like you mean it Make me come alive Hurt me, heal me, come and make me feel it Rescue me tonight Love me back to life E-mail kevin.inbed@...
